Hi, my name is Peggy Huffman and my cattery is Seder Rennes’. It is pronounced
Ceder Renees. It is Norwegian for Ceder Run, a little community we used to live
in. We raised and showed Norwegian elkhounds after we started in cats we just
kept the name. We have since built a house in Harrisonburg, VA. I have a
wonderful family, a great husband Bob of thirty-four years, and three children,
Derek, Corey, and Megan.
Growing up the children always had lots of pets, dogs, cats, chickens, horses and
of course hamsters and birds. When we got our first registered Himalayan that
was just a start. We still have him. His name is Jordy and he is fifteen years
old. I became interested in the bi-colors at the International in Kansas City
when I first met Lisa Smith and Christy Miller. I had been breeding solids and
tabbies before that, but really liked the different patterns of bi-colors. I
love the soft patterns of the dilutes and the bold flashiness of the dominants.
I am very careful about where my babies go. All of my kittens or retired adults
come with spay neuter agreements unless they are show or breeder quality. They
must also be properly cared for. Persians are wonderful cats. They have great
personalities and are lots of fun! Their beauty is exceptional but you must
have the dedication to keep them looking their very best.
I have incorporated the lines of Catillak,
Candirand, Byhishands, and a beautiful male of Seder Rennes, to produce
a kitten with good type, magnificent coats and best of all loving sweet
personalities.
